With almost 30 years of experience working with international cruise business and incoming groups, has made Long Special Services an expert in the field. We know our guides and handpick each based on your needs. Being based in Helsinki we get to meet and interview new guides on a regular basis. We have good relationships with guide associations, and are members of the Association on Finnish Travel Industry (SMAL).
We have a great selection of guides, for all types of tours and languages, to meet just your needs.
KNOWLEDGE OF THE DESTINATION
We use certified guides to ensure us of a high standard in both knowledge and language skills. Guide associations do valuable work for cities and destinations, with guide courses and trainings to uphold this standard. For membership, the associations require the completion of one year’s guide course, with oral and written final exams, and a very good knowledge of at least one language apart from maternal Finnish or Swedish. We try to support our guides by having well thought out tours, keeping an open dialog with them and by obtaining a nice working environment.
We arrange guided tours in many different languages. In addition to Finnish, also in Swedish, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, etc.

Most of my life I have been involved in the travel business. First as a guide for Finnish customers at European destinations later in South East Asia. Then about fifteen years as sales manager for Air France in Finland. Now I have been more than 20 years an authorized guide in Helsinki. I have also been a tour leader for groups that crisscross Finland.
I know that all my experience has given me a good perspective of Finland. What we were earlier and what we are today. I also know how to tell it. I can also be quiet when needed.
